Schedule

Working with our friends in Brazil, we have a schedule packed with opportunities to bless and be blessed throughout our trip from July 3 – July 13, 2011.  Many thanks to all involved in the multiple calls, e-mails, and Skype meetings that went into this schedule.

• 7:30 PM – Team departs Pitt. PA.

Monday July 4, 2011

• 3:25 PM – Team arrives in Joao Pessoa, Brazil
• 7:00 – 8:30 PM – Team leaders and Pastors from Joao Pessoa meet at Team House
• 9:00 PM – Team debrief &Compline

Tuesday July 5, 2011

• 7:45 AM – Breakfast & Morning Prayer
• 8:45 AM – Team departs house for Valentina
• 9:30 AM – Team arrives at Valentina construction project
• 3:00 PM – Team leaves Valentina for Team House
• 4:00 – 6:00 PM – Team prepares for VBS program at St. Stephens
• 7:00 – 9:00 PM Dinner at Team House with Group #1 of 30 guests from Valentina and Mongabeira
• 9:15pm – Team debrief & Compline

Wednesday July 6, 2011

• 8:30 AM – Breakfast & Morning Prayer
• 12:00 PM – Team Lunch at Team House
• 1:15 PM – Team leaves for St. Stephens, A rural farming community
• 2:00 – 3:00 PM – Team prepares for VBS
• 3:00-5:00 PM – VBS program for 40 – 50 children
• 5:00 – 5:30 PM – Clean up
• 5:30 PM – Team leaves for house
• 7:00-9:00 PM – Team debrief & Compline & Free time

Thursday July 7, 2011

• 8:30 AM – Breakfast & Morning Prayer
• 12:00 PM – Team Lunch at Team House
• 1:00 PM – Team departs house to go to the Compassion Project
• 2:00-4:00 PM – Small VBS and Futbol (a.k.a. Soccer) game
• 4:30 PM – Team departs Compassion Project
• 5:00– 6:30 PM – Free Time
• 7:00 – 9:00 PM – Dinner at Team House with Group #2 of 30 guests from Valentina and Mangabeira
• 9:15pm – Team daily debrief / Compline

Friday July 8, 2011

• 1:30 Depart house for Valentina
• 2:00-6:00 Decorate and prepare rooms for VBS
• 6:30 Team departs Valentina returns to Team house
• 7:00 Team has dinner at house
• 9:15pm – Team daily debrief & Compline

Saturday July 9, 2011

• 6:45 AM – Team departs house for Valentina
• 7:15 AM – Team arrives to attend to final preparations
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – VBS in partnership with Valentina
• 5:00-6:00 PM – Clean-up
• 6:00 PM – Team departs Valentina
• 7:00 PM – Dinner at Team house
• 9:15 PM – Team daily debrief & Compline

Sunday July 10, 2011

• 6:45 AM – Team departs house for Valentina
• 7:15 AM – Team arrives to attend to final preparations
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM VBS in partnership with Valentina
• 4:00 – 6:30 PM – Clean-up, Eat & Prepare for Evening Service
• 6:30 – 8:30 PM – Closing VBS Service at Valentina
• 8:30 – 9:00 – Saying good-bye
• 9:00 PM – Team returns to house
• 9:45 PM – Team daily debrief & Compline

Monday July 11, 2011

• 9:00 AM – Breakfast, Morning Prayer and Team Debrief
• Remainder of the day: Free time at Beach, Team Meal & Packing

Tuesday July 12,2011

• 12:30 AM – Team departs house for airport (that’s right 12:30 AM!!!)
• 3:35am – Team flight leaves for Rio de Janero
• 4:40am – Wortham’s & Barbosa’s depart for Belo Horizonte
• 6:40 AM – Team arrives in Rio de Janero for layover.  Team will tour the city through the day.
• 8:10 PM – Team leaves Rio de Janero for USA
